Gracie, the Amazing Trick Mule
You may have seen her on the
Today Show, or perhaps you caught her in her movie debut with Robert Duvall
in "Get Low". Amazing Grace is her formal name, and it sure fits!
Gracie was literally discovered
at Equine Extravaganza in NC where her owner, Steve Foster, entered her in
America's Ultimate Horse Idol. She won that competition and when on to win again
in Virginia's 2008 Equine Extravaganza. Shortly thereafter Gracie was
discovered by Hollywood and found herself staring opposite Robert Duvall!! Be
sure to see her on Sunday only!
Denim and Diamonds VIP Clinician Dinner and
Meet and Greet
Make plans now to attend this intimate evening with the Clinicians for an
opportunity to mingle with the personalities that make the event rock!
Clinicians will have photos for autographing and plenty of time to mingle.
In celebration of Secretariat's birth place, guest will be privileged to a
special Secretariat presentation centered around the book
Secretariat's Meadow ~ The Land, The Family, The Legend. A multi-media
presentation by
Wayne Dementi, Publisher, and co-author Leeanne Ladinco.
The presentation will offer
background to link between The Meadow, the Chenery family & the Disney film,
followed by movie trailers, the Meadow Story, culminating with clips from the 3
Triple Crown races. A book signing will follow the presentation.
Friday evening 7:30-9:30 at the Union Bank Market Hall (mansion).
Tickets $45.00 in advance, $55 at the door. Admission
includes Meet and Greet, Silent Auction (bid on a clinic with your favorite
clinician), buffet dinner, one glass of wine or beer.
Women Only Trainer Challenge
Don't miss this exciting colt starting competition featuring Karen Scholl,
Caroline Rider, and Tara Jones as work with three young horses using natural
horsemanship techniques to gain their trust and accept a saddle and rider.
Friday, Saturday, and Sunday training will culminate with the obstacle course
competition on Sunday. Included in admission.

Horse and Cow
You heard correctly..... a
MECHANICAL Cutting Horse! If you've always wanted to try cutting or if you're a
cutting pro and want to give it a whirl on a horse of a different color, then
this ride is for you. Lannie Ashley brings his Mechanical Cutting Horse,
the rage at the Cutting Futurity in Ft. Worth, to Equine extravaganza!
Rides are $5.00.

Live Music with Tommy Jennings, Bobby Plough,
and Ron Thomason and Heidi Clare
Enjoy the music and be sure to
get an autographed CD from these four excellent musicians. Tommy Jennings,
Waylon's
brother, will perform his tribute to Waylon throughout the weekend at the Equine
Extravaganza Music Stage. And returning to this year's event is the ever
popular Bobby Plough. And bluegrass music fans won't want to miss
bluegrass icons, Ron Thomason and Heidi Clare! Concerts will be scheduled throughout the weekend.

Cooking Demonstrations
Chillin' and Grillin' Dave Dailey will offer cooking
demos throughout the weekend. Horse people work up a good appetite and
Dave Dailey knows just the menu to satisfy that hunger. Dave's demos will
be geared to trail riders and to those horse people that are just plain hunger.
